Nice scenic hike to mountain top
Absolutely fantastic location, well preserved. Fire tower is very cool.
The top has a nice lodge that is a museum, and a fire tower you can climb to get a good view of the surrounding area.
Drive or hike up the narrow paved road to the top of Prospect Mountain to visit Weeks State Park (road closed in winter ). Enjoy 360 deg views from the top of the stone fire tower. Take narrated tour of the house built by Weeks for a small fee. Top floor is totally open with picture window views of the surroundings. Very peaceful place to have picknic or hike around.
Great area for hiking and outdoor events. There are really easy trails that are great for family outings, and some slightly more challenging ones if you want to get some exercise outside for a few hours.
A very nice state park, great views from the fire tower. A great place to stop when visiting the North Country.
